The Training and Education Department belongs to the Area for Economic Policies, Human Capital and Programming of European Funds of Veneto Region, which manages the regional programmes funded by national and European funds, such as Youth Guarantee, ESF+ and ERDF. The Department manages the operational planning of the ESF+ co-financed activities in the areas within its fields of competence:
- VET, age group: 14-18,
- ITS (Higher Technical Institutes) Vocational tertiary education provision,
- Continuing education for workers, with no, low and/or outdated skills,
- School orientation (#Orientati project), 17 regional networks.
The Department also manages interventions aimed at implementing the right to ordinary and university study. Due to its institutional role, Veneto Region has the competencies and skills to manage both relevant and wide networks and complex programmes (e.g. ESF+). Thanks to its participation in innovative and strategic projects, it has extensive project management experience and possesses the skills for managing the full funding cycle (i.e. consultation of stakeholders, setting priorities, financial planning, fund allocation, grants design, projects selection, monitoring and evaluation of results).
Veneto Region during the implementation of TourX will collaborate with Confindustria, ENAIP Veneto and other regional stakeholders to the development of a new Tourism Strategy 2023-2028, where upskilling of the current workforce of the sector is set high in the agenda.
