The Association of Tourist Entrepreneurs of Fuerteventura, ASOFUER, was born with the vocation of constituting a representative platform in defense of the interests of men and women who, with their business activity, contribute every day, directly or indirectly, to developing the Tourism industry on the Island. An industry that is our main economic engine and that faces great challenges that must be addressed in order to lay the foundations for its present and future development. For this reason, ASOFUER brings together not only hotel entrepreneurs but also everyone whose economic activity is carried out in this area and contributes with their effort and dedication to building the Fuerteventura Destination.
In this way, with the sum of everyone, ASOFUER stands as the tourism employers’ association that the business sector needs to carry out an active and effective defense of its interests before the institutions and before public opinion, as well as to develop proposals that contribute to improve the business fabric of the Island and, therefore, of the people who reside in Fuerteventura.
In the TourX project ASOFUER is part of Spanish Knowledge Triangle led by Mundus.
ASOFUER as a tourism association, will contribute the experience and knowledge of the tourism sector, participating in all WPs, but mostly in:
- Creation of TourX – Transnational Ecosystem for VET Excellence in the Tourism Sector (W2)
- Design of a TourX “Hospitality Labs” ToolBox for Excellence (W3)
- Creation of Sustainable Systemic Impact (W5)
- Outreach and Dissemination Activities (W6)
