In the German Hotel and Restaurant Association Brandenburg e. V. (DEHOGA Brandenburg), the entrepreneurs of the hospitality industry in the state of Brandenburg have organized themselves to fight together for their goals and thereby achieve more. With around 1,200 members, the association represents the entire spectrum of the hospitality industry – from cafés and pubs to restaurants, guesthouses, hotels, communal catering, and system catering to gourmet restaurants and luxury hotels. Thus the federation speaks for a strong industry, which forms approximately 6,000 enterprises, approx. 1 billion euro conversion, 28,000 persons employed, and approximately 3,500 apprentices, a supporting column of the Brandenburger economy.
Tasks
DEHOGA Brandenburg represents the interests of the hotel and catering industry, campaigns for favorable economic and political conditions, and provides numerous services for its members. The DEHOGA Brandenburg informs, supports, and advises, maintains contact and dialogue with politics, business, and administration, and is actively involved in social processes. The focus of the association’s work is on quality in the hospitality industry.
Goals
The central concern of DEHOGA Brandenburg is to promote entrepreneurial success through its activities. At the same time, the commitment of DEHOGA Brandenburg should contribute to securing jobs and promoting quality of life, tourist attractiveness, and hospitality in the state of Brandenburg.
In the TourX project, DEHOGA will contribute with their experience in the field of quality management in the hospitality industry through the transnational and bilateral exchange of experience and know-how transfer. As a member of the project’s German Knowledge Triangle will implement and test new pilot applications for education and training. The thematic focus will be on attracting skilled workers, digitalization, and sustainability in the hospitality industry.
DEHOGA will make the results achieved in the course of the project available to our international project partners for the joint exchange of experience. The project opens up new opportunities for us to work together with the project partners to improve our capabilities in digital knowledge transfer in particular, as well as to better adapt the training of professional skills and abilities to constantly changing economic and social needs.
